i saw Batman Begins, last night (finally). there were these 3 stupid, poptart high school girls sitting RIGHT next to me (as in i had to share the damn armrest) who would NOT stop talking the entire movie. My sister kept sshhhing- which was amusing. ugh. anyway, Sandy is right, the movie rocked. although, i cant look at Christian Bale and not want to vomit because of how he was in The Machinist. *shudder*
Tuesday i didnt go to goth night. lisa is "sick of it." this saddens me greatly, seeing as how i only have one chance left, EVER, to go, but she was "too sick of it." whatever. she can go by herself if she ever gets not sick of it, once i am gone.
I finished a David Sedaris book last night- Dress Your Family in Corderoy and Denim. It was amusing. Classic Sedaris, at least. I would recommend it, and even loan anyone who wants to read it, my copy.
I have also read this book called Mountains Beyond Mountains by some guy named Tracy something. It is a nonfiction account of one doctor's struggle to combat the Tb epidemic. It was amazing. Absolutely amazing. Read it,
I also read the Codex by Douglas Preston. It was a good no brainer read. Kinda like Prey or Jurassic Park. the cover describes it as "indiana jones meets the amazing race."
I am very disappointed in myself with the lack of reading i have accomplished this summer. ugh. must read more.
i miss my sandy.

I really miss you terribly. I hate being so far away. ust think of all the fun I could have if you were around, and I get mega sad. I'm too sad these days.
And I think you've gotten more book reading done than I have this summer. In the midst of my book ADD, I've started mayve 7 books in the last few mnths, but only actually got through one. Which, technically, I'm not done with yet. but it's fascinating, it's the Morgan Spurlokc book, "Don't eat This Book!" Kind of like Super-Size Me, but I haven't actually seen the movie, so I couldn' really say. But the book rocks.
